Who is Fine? Pack 39!
Pack 39 is an active and engaged group of boys and families chartered by University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, NC. We participate in regular community service, build and race cars in the Pinewood Derby, and go camping twice each semester. Please check out some of our upcoming events:
Dog Days of Summer on August 24, 2014 at Wilson Park
We had great turn out for the picnic. It was fun to see old friends and meet some new families. Everyone is looking forward to a great new year!
Camping Trip #1 -Medoc Mountain, September 26-28, 2014
Camping trips are always fun. Our first trip this Fall will be to Medoc Mountain State Park -http://www.ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/memo/main.php. Campfires, S'mores, Skits, and Corny jokes are some highlights of all Pack 39 camping trips. Whether you are a veteran camper or this is your first trip, you are certain to have fun.
NC Big Sweep, October 5, 2014
Armed with trash grabbers and rubber gloves, Pack 39 will participate in the statewide cleanup effort of the NC Big Sweep. A favorite, rewarding experience for all, the boys fill up bags with trash collected along a portion of the Bolin Creek in Chapel Hill.
Flapjack Fundraiser, November 8, 2014
Please mark your calendars. This event went so well last year, we have decided to do it again. The event is hosted at Applebee's. Our cub scouts will greet guests and serve pancakes. Please share this date with family and friends who will want to come out in support of Pack 39.
