Hello Pack 39 Families,

I wanted to write you all and tell you about some changes coming up. I have been Cubmaster for over a year now and served in a leadership role of some kind for the last 4 years. My time spent in these positions has been wonderful and I have really enjoyed serving the pack. We are very blessed as a group to have such terrific families as members. Many of you know that I am an entrepreneur and run a couple of businesses which keeps me busy. Lately my business has been growing quite a bit and requires far more of my time.

It is with a very heavy heart that I must resign as the cub master. I have spent a lot of time thinking about this decision and just feel that I cannot give you all the time you need and deserve. I also feel that it is not fair to you all that I be a part time cub master. I am very grateful for the support I have received from you all over the years, and will miss each and every one of you very much. I will especially miss working with the kids in the pack. I hope I will see you all around town, and rumor has it that I will be back as a cubtone next year.

Mike Nicholson has graciously volunteered to step into the role of cub master and he is a terrific guy and has great scouting background. I am sure he will do a great job in the role. Mike will begin this role immediately and I will not be at the May pack meeting to say goodbye as I will be in Dallas for meetings. I hope you will all join me in welcoming Mike and thanking him for stepping up into a big role.

Have a great time at Stone Mountain!

Yours in Scouting,
Laney Dale
