Now accepting girls AND boys!

In 2018, the Boys Scouts of America began integrating girls into its Scouting programs, mirroring Scouting in many other countries around the world, which is already co-ed.  Pack 39 has made the decision to begin accepting girls into our program for the 2018-19 year.

While this is a new chapter for Scouting, we are committed to making this the best possible experience for both boy and girl Cub Scouts in our pack, upholding all of the values and best traditions of Scouting.  Dens will remain single-gender (with boy-only dens and girl-only dens).  Den meetings will still provide opportunities for boys to be immersed in experiences solely with other boys, and girls to be with girls.  Pack meetings and family camping activities will bring all dens together.

As always, parent participation is an important part of the Cub Scout program.  Our number one priority is the safety of all Cub Scouts.  All of our leaders have completed Youth Protection Training and we encourage all parents to enroll in the training as well.

If you have a son or daughter who would like to join Pack 39 as we kick off the 2018-19 year this fall, please read more and contact us to join.
