Dog Days Potluck Picnic, August 23rd!

Hello Returning and New Pack 39 Families,

The Webelos 2 den (a.k.a. the Ninja Shark patrol) is pleased to invite you to this year’s Dog Days picnic, Pack 39’s annual kick-off event.

This year’s Dog Days picnic will be at the pavilion at Wilson Park, 101 Williams Street, in Carrboro, on Sunday evening,August 23rd, 5pm – 7pm.

This is a potluck event.  The Ninja Shark patrol will provide cups, plates, utensils, and napkins as well as deliciously cooked hot dogs, water, and lemonade for everyone to enjoy.

We ask that you please bring something to share, as follows: a dessert (for those with last names beginning with A – H); a salad (for those with last names beginning with I – P); a side item (for those with last names beginning with Q - Z).

New families are invited to join Cubmaster Bruce Stevens and some of our other leaders at the pavilion at the park at 4:30 pm for Cub Scouts 101, an introduction to Cub Scouts and Pack 39.  Returning families not participating in Cub Scouts 101 please plan to arrive at 5pm.  Dinner will be served at approximately 5:30 pm.

In addition to a potluck contribution, please bring the following to this event:
1)      2015-2016 Pack 39 dues ($100 payable to Pack 39)
2)      Old uniforms for the uniform exchange
3)      Completed BSA health forms, for all scouts and family members who will be attending camping trips, and completed behavior contracts, for all scouts and siblings who will be attending camping trips (see forms link on the Pack 39 website)

Treasurer/Quartermaster Adam Bush will be at the event from 4:30 pm on to collect dues and coordinate the uniform exchange.

Following dinner there will be about 15 minutes scheduled for separate den meetings.

All returning and any possible new families are welcome to join us for this event.  Please forward this email to any families that are not already affiliated with Pack 39 who you think might be interested in joining us.  Also, please remember that information about Pack 39 events and other pack related information can be accessed at www.pack39.org.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the 23rd.
