Pack 39 is led by group of dedicated parent volunteers who give their time and energy to help the pack go. The leadership is organized by a Pack Committee, which meets monthly to ensure the pack is running smoothly. The Pack Committee is made up of many positions, each designed to manage the affairs, organization and finances of the pack. The Committee Chair, Cubmaster, and Assistant Cubmaster are the positions ultimately responsible for the success of the pack. Den Leaders manage the cub scouts and the activities they do both within their respective dens and when they participate as a group at Pack activities. Each Den has at least one leader. Event Leaders plan and manage all Pack level events (like Camping Trips and the Pinewood Derby). Each event typically has a single leader that recruits volunteers from the parents to help with the event. In addition to the Pack Leadership, all parents of Cub Scouts are automatically members of the Pack's Parent Committee, which typically meets during pack meetings. During these meetings, the Pack Committee Chair communicates about upcoming events, volunteer needs, pack finances and listens to parent concerns and desires of the program. |
